away 2008 goes...

2008's coming to an end soon and 2009's approaching real soon. so i'm here, taking some time out making reflections, setting new goals for the new year.. this is so going to be a long assed entry. probably the longest i've typed!

2008 is really a fly by the pants year. it passed so fast compared to other 20years that i've lived through. YEAH YEAH, i know a year got 365 days, 52 weeks, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. but i can't deny the fact that 2008's really a very fast year!

relections reflections..
i've been pretty much a pain in the ass to the society and to the people around me. so much so that jerry calls me 'a living epitome of human cheebye"ness"'. yup, i've to agree with him. i shouldn't elaborate on what i did before but I KNOW what i did. i ought to change, i think?
something are meant not to be said and i know those things that i've done were inappropriate. i ought to change *do the right thing..*
i've been in a dilema about a certain problem for a year now, maybe more. it's time i make a decision and stick with it. i wish i have enough determination in me to make this come true. 2 years is not a long time, i will live through it! OH, and it's a good thing i have friends around to give me sound advices.
my bad and temperamental temper are toned down for year 2008. and i DO wish it continues this way.
i've been neglecting alot of my friends. Not because of my 'cheebye"ness"' is stopping me from meeting them and not because i'm not making an effort to meet them. it's just THEM that pissed me off everytime they keep saying 'let's meet up someday!' but they fail to put in effort and take time out. i've tried, i really did, maybe it's time i try harder?
Be honest and truthful. (this sort of hit me real bad as why i was fired from brew****) not that i gave false elaboration of what took place. seriously, sometimes greed do fuck with the morality of human.

What 2008 brought to me
not exactly a fruitful year for me. but i'm glad that fate made me know people from all walks of life, be it good or be it bad.

let's start with the bad ones.
i've seen and encounter a true testimony of human defect and i live through to tell the story. i will tell you if you have hours to spare and you are willing to offer me a pint of beer. i assure you, you will be perplexed by my stupidity and laugh at my blind'ness'.
i've been through times where i experience enough bullshit from us, humans. so much so that i'm numb and will never be left in awe if you tell me a shocking occurance of what made a huge impact in your left (in a bad way that is). i expect to see more of this when enlist into NS in the year 2009.
i still think humans are ugly after all these years. not just the year 2008.

now for the good ones.
i'm pretty much thankful to all my friend who have to face my bullshit everyday. i'm part of the human race, so i'm part of what i describe as 'ugly'.
i've met great people who helped me through when i'm in need and i'm real grateful to them.
i can't think of any better stuff that happened to me in 2008 so i'll just end here.

what i hope 2009 will bring me?
i hope to ditch a couple of people in my life who deem themselves as friends to me. those who thought they know me very well, but it's just the tip of an iceberg. really, i don't give a fuck. like i always say, i would rather have 3 close friends who understands me well rather than 300 friends who just seems to be another collection in your circle of friends.
i wish my family to have great health, so do my friends. close friends i mean.
i just want to 'chao keng' my way through NS.
i want to graduate from poly as soon as possible. i don't care what's my GPA, i just want to get my diploma and i'm out of there.

abel - you've been a great dude, and i'm glad i know you as a friend. your calm, friendly and heart-warming attitude will bring you a long way in this life. thanks for being there when i'm in trouble. thanks dude! ci en - you are considered one of my best friend who's there by my side that i can't do without, in bad times and also the prime time of my life. i believe what i want to say is in that poem i wrote to you. i wish this friendship will never end and i will do anything to maintain it. i wish you will find your happiness soon. how's christmas for everyone? celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ is fun isn't it? being a 'hardcore' anti-christian that i am, christmas is not about jesus christ but it's just an excuse to let me meet my friends and enjoy my day with them.

for this year, the parties are kind of well spread out rather than jam packed all in a day like last year where i've to rush all around singapore like a mad man! it sucks when all of them happens on the same day.

everything started off on the 23rd where my classmates are having celebration over at zhi hui's house. i'll leave that to the last part cause there that's the one with lots of pictures.

was a little boring, went to my aunt's house for a family gathering not knowing that is BORING and none of the youngsters are going there. BORED TO THE MAX. my family's getting easy for x'mas this year.

25th

first priority outing was cancelled last minute due to some miscommunication with the other party which led to NO OUTING. so i settled for the second priority which was an annual x'mas party over at yanfei's house.

what i can say is everything okay. UNTIL exchanging the presents. i don't care if CHUOK YUE is going to see this but i'm going to say.

so i guess i'm going to write about the little outing michelle and i had a couple of weeks back.

we went to little india for this gig which is to promote the EP 'Honestly' by Ling Kai who made herself famous through YOUTUBE.

27th

reserved to meet up with the secondary school peeps. the usual clique was there, jerry, yvonne, pingting, zi xuan, chin leng, kenneth and i. went for steamboat at geylang and i'm pretty impressed i must say.

this steamboat shop's located over at geylang lorong 1 along the stretch of CHINA steamboat restaurants. it's called '99 重庆麻辣火锅'. the china people there are really nice! they recommend food, they teach you the proper way to cook it if you do it the wrong way.
their service is really a notch above others. that's kind of cool cause people are always dictating that china people are rude, ill mannered. i'm guilty as charged for thinking the same way every other people are! that made me changed a little impression of china people.

after the steamboat, we went to jerry's house to watch russell peters together followed by talk cock session.

went home at around 1.30am i think? i was literally 'stoning' already.

23rd

the night start off with me reach there around 6.45pm. most of them were there and did a round of cam-whoring.

a little update about my room, my room's somehow or rather done. a couple of more clearing to do, getting a mini fridge soon to stock up my beers! invite my friends around and just drink! WOOT~! re-arrangement of my room's furniture is done. true enough it's SPACIOUS! picture will tell?

this morning I've just witness an accident. a car ran into a china man when the china man jaywalked. my heart felt cold and skipped abit when i saw what took place. the china man was just lying on the floor unconscious and not moving (as it seems to be, i'm in the bus, i can't confirm).

the driver looked very helpless and was frantically pacing back and forth between the unconscious man and the crowd, urging them to help. a civil defence guy stoppped to help and a security guard from the nearby building came to help. that's all i saw.

i strongly urge you guys not to speed if you already have license. don't drink and drive. be cautious about what's happening to your surroundings when you are driving. you can be a speed demon but when you get into accidents like this, let me see how you whip out the demon in you. i've experienced it first hand and it scares the hell out of your guts. trust me, you don't want to know the feeling.

no, i didn't knock down anyone. was merely at the brim of getting into an accident and i can say the feeling's not going to feel good.

jaywalk with caution people, i can't stop you from jay walking but please do it with care. i don't know how you are going to do that but just find a way to do it. i certainly don't want any of my friends to end up in any accidents.

and if i make any jokes about pushing you into an oncoming car, just to downgrade your PES (for guys)...

anticipation on outcome

friday had a surprise party over at king albert's macdonalds, which is i think the only mac i know that's 2 storey. it's like the MEGA macdonalds, just like the mega courts, ikea and giant at tampines. it's like a party at a wrong venue, but it's rather creative i would say. who would ever thought of celebrating his 21st birthday at macs? aaron just did.

the night started off by a surprise attempt to surprise aaron for his birthday party. he absolutely had no clue his girlfriend (tracy) organised this party for him. he can still happily buy a meal and eat, opening and squeezing the mayonaise while we are like refugee squatting down in the party room as not to let him discover that we are there.

his girlfriend led him to the party room and i can see his face through the window panel, STUNNED. he saw me first la! i think i'm too significant (big size) to NOT BE NOTICED.

the first thing he said, 'why macdonalds?' HAHA!

the whole party is like for little kids. giving happy meals and balloons. playing musical chairs and playing with that, cartoon character gel thing which i don't know what's that called.

so much demolition work was done. i practically took down all the racks in my storeroom. it was in the way and my mum cleared all the stuff in the storeroom. i swear, demolition is hard work!

came to lab this morning and most of the stuff are being moved. was told today was moving the lab to another lab and everyone's least thrilled about it. well, i practically sat down and did nothing. well, not as in really nothing but unproductive things like talking cock with the DTs. shifted over to the new lab and currently there's no internet access for the whole lab as they have not enabled our network.

i'm currently typing on notepad in the lab because there's no internet for me to upload into blogger. i'm bored to death without internet. i'm lack of motivation because there's no internet. i'm not a nerd you see, so i need internet to spice up my life.

Went out on a hunting trip yesterday with jeremy, robin and desmond. met up after school after they shook aaron off. we went to heeren first. there's this chinese pop song audition or some crap like that. well, they are singing shitty chinese pop shit which are proven unhealthy for me. so i went to HMV for a while before joining back with the guys. Desmond kind of went off on his own too.

went to the top most level of heeren which is called 'altitude dining' or something along that line for dinner. when we settled down at'da kai jie', we are like holy fucking shit. it's already 8pm and we have yet to look for something for aaron.



A Collection of Good ol' Eats

i ordered the dried seafood hor fun and when it's served, the aroma of the horfun was too familiar. cha kuay teow.
i thought it's just the smell and not wanting to dictate it as cha kuay teow, i took my first bite. fuck, CHA KUAY TEOW. i just spent $10.80++ for a plate for CHA KUAY TEOW that can be found anywhere in any hawker centres and they only cost like $3 - $5 a plate. the good thing is, at least it tasted good.
(of course it tasted good. even if it doesn't taste good, i will still say it is cause i just spent $10.80++ on it.)

walked around heeren, saw swee yim, amelia and a friend of theirs that i have no idea who she is. caught up with them a little. amelia just got a new tattoo like last week and i'm going to check it out later.(no internet connection currently in lab)

got nothing from heeren, went to taka. nothing. taka to wisma atria, nothing. So we went outside to take a breather from the shopping and it was 8 going 9 o'clock. i told the guys, 'this is taking forever, next stop : TANGS. we MUST get something from there no matter what.' they agreed and off we went. we don't care and just kept suggesting everything and anything we saw. got what we wanted like finally and we are out of there.

FUCK LA, i'm dozing off in my lab now.

okay... erm erm. a couple of days ago, zhen ru called jerry and i to meet her for some spree thing. i don't know what's that call.. a spree meet up? it's so random she so called 'open a shop' beside mr bean (NOT rowan atkinson, but the soya bean shop) and just distributed her spree there.
when we reached there and once she starts asking people to come over and collect their stuff, damn! it's like an impromptu 'diao zui'. they are doing a mad rush towards zr like they have some sort of vengeance against her for being late. we are like her criminal counter part, her accomplice for making her late. jerry and i just stood aside and did our own talk cock session.

after everything's done, went to Carl's Junior for lunch and damn it's SO GOOD.

Well, jerry's being very health conscious so therefore he just pretend he didn't care at all.

hmm... a couple of weeks back, or rather the day i met zr to go parkway to pass something to swee yim that day, (yes, it's THAT long ago. i kept forgetting) i witness something that's really heart warming. disgusting it may be, but you witness undoubted love a grandfather have for his grand-daughter.

i boarded bus 31 to go to parkway. just as i wanted to proceed to the second level, i saw a man in his early 50s carrying what seems to be a sleeping baby girl around 5 to 6 years old pacing down. Just as he reached the last few steps of the staircase, i felt water droplets being splashed on my feet. i thought to myself 'what the hell was that?'.
turns out, the little girl was sick and was puking. once i saw the pile of 'bile mixed with some yellow stuff' on the first few steps, i changed my direction and just sat down at the first level. what i thought initially of the 'water droplets' was actually puke on my leg. well, i examined my feet with my naked eye, nothing was very significant. so i didn't really give much thought to it.

the poor man was actually drenched in puke on his right side and he didn't even mutter a single thing. he didn't give a face of disgust or reprimand the little girl for puking but he just kept taking care of his grand-daughter. that guy truly deserves my admiration and utmost respect.

hmm.. i guess this is my update for the evening, which is to tell YOU i'm going to update on wednesday after my common test. I'M SO SCREWED! i've yet to study for it and i'm still down here blogging at this time. Tomorrow's still having school! I hope i make it.

i am damn sad can. this skin i've been using it since when i'm still in my ITE days was heavily criticised. i haven't really got any drive to change the blogskin until like recently.

although i'm an IT student. well if you think about it, not exactly an IT student cause my course is label under 'School of Engineering', but i study IT related stuff. maybe it's time i put those stuff that i learn in the lecture and tutorials into good use!

IF i can remember what was taught and i DID not sleep in my HTML, CSS class.

recent events

i guess i pretty much brushed off the lazy bugs on me. been reading post after post after post of new found blogs. spending hours (actually when my eyes are open, it's glued to the digital display, be it computer or PSP) on the net just reading blogs. it just intrigues me how many things can happen at the same time on the same day but to different people.

BLAH..

that day, was in school when i saw the most absurd (or i would say WTF?!) promotion. take a look.


after i saw this, the only conclusion i came to is that they are trying to attract more guys to buy their waffle. Their waffle is mostly bought my ladies but not so popular within the guys. what's more? It's only a rebate of 10cents.

10 cents?!

yes.. 10 cents.. if you were to ask me, what can that rebate of 10cents do? i would say nothing. no. none what so freaking ever. unless you are talking about this scenario where you wanted to eat dessert which cost $1.20. but after you dig your pockets and you emptied all your coins in your wallet, you only find $1.10. THEN the 10 cents comes to great use.*this actually happened to me today. i had to borrow 10cents from robin to get my 'burbur hitam' -.- *

times like this, even going to public toilet that once only cost 10cents, was raised to 20cents. i can't even go toilet with that 10cents!

on friday. met up with jiji, cai, meiling and yong quan for steamboat at this place somewhere near bugis called 'Xian de lai' *bored then come*.



it's kind of a special steamboat place where you no need to go get the food yourself. you will be given a piece of paper, tick what you want then it will be served to you shortly. convenience!

well, i wouldn't say it's one of the best but just make do. afterall, it's cost me $24 for that meal. after that meiling left for friends, yong quan left for st james. so cai, jiji and i went to a pub to chill at balestier. forgot what's that pub called.
had 2 buckets of hoegarden and a pizza. the pizza is a hidden treasure! it's nicer than pizza hut! well, i ended up drinking the most. don't ask me why, don't you judge me!

on saturday, went to jerry house for a while to let him set up my guitar. i can see he's pissed. DAMN pissed. HAHA.. but oh well, he still did it for me.. haha! he commented that my guitar's damn CHUI. the person who set up the guitar is also damn chui. *hush hush*
on another note, i'm surprised, and i think jerry is too, that i'm not angry about him dropping my guitar. no damage done, angry for what.. -.- but it did shock me for a while.
after that went to Natalie's birthday party. No photos yet cause i'm just plain lazy to get the photos from them. Had fun, had booze(i'm the only one drinking. DAMN IT!) and went to my aunt's house. The timing was so perfect i got nothing to say. i called my dad to fetch me to my aunt's house, and so he did. when the car reach the premises, 2 cars was just about to turn out. They are my cousins and all. They are preparing to leave for home. HAHA! PERFECT! the rest is history.

on sunday, was slacking at home doing some stuff. until zr called.

'eh, go gai gai leh. parkway. okay?'

since i got nothing to do and i kind of want to just go out for dinner, i agreed.
actually she do have a motive for that outing. to pass people her face mask stocks.

swee yim joined us after her with and we had.. i would say quite a long 'catching up' session. *bi*** is the correct word actually* lasted an hour or so..
