state of shock

You know sometimes when you are walking down on the streets, and some guys just tapped you on your shoulder and said 'Hi' to you. But you have no freaking idea who the hell he/she is? Not even a tinge of it?

Yes, you have guess it. I've got the experience recently. And so does Jerry who had his a week prior to mine.

Since Jerry always say he will blog it down, he will never had the time and chance to do it. I'll do it for him. Not to the finest details, but please make do.

Jerry was walking down the streets, probably Orchard Road where all the buzz are, minding is own business when some guy just tapped him on his shoulder. He took a look at the bugger for the longest time. He have no freaking idea who the hell he was.
The bugger said 'Hi' and moved off. Leaving Jerry an impression he will never forget because,

1 : he don't know who the hell he is.
2 : he will be thinking for the longest time who the hell he is.
3 : quite coincidently, that guy reminds Jerry of someone in secondary school.

Therefore, he came to a conclusion that guy is Xian Neng. He described his sillouette to me, but there's a few point that don't even fit Xian Neng.

I think at this point of time, if i bring this up to Jerry, he will still be undecided and contemplating.

As for me? I had a similar encounter in the train.

A couple of days back, I was on my way to Bishan to meet up Michelle for dinner. So I was minding my own business, listening to my songs and quite simply, just looking around.

I was wearing a Chimaira t-shirt which looked something like this:

and just listening to some heavy assed metal. [You might be wondering, what has this got to do with anything? I'll tell you in a bit.]
[Just some background information, Chimaira is a heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, USA]

So there I was looking around, evading Indians that are coming my way, looking at nothing.

Ding Dong..
Orchard Road

This guy, quite professionally dressed, came up to me. He didn't exactly tap me. But he just came up and stood right in front of me and just showed me the Devil Horns, which caught my attention. [Now you know why the shirt comes into play.]

Looking at him with my most bewildered look, i took off a side of my ear piece.

*Doors open for people alighting at Orchard*
He was still at it, and I was still giving him the bewildered look. Then out of nowhere...

'Lucien?' [At this point of time, he's already inching towards the door and away from me]

*Son of a bitch, he knows my name!*
'Yeah,' I replied with much hesitation.

'Alright!! Rock on, dude!!' [Still inching towards the door]

'Hurhur, yeah' *Fuck! Who the hell is he?*

*He took his leave and not forgetting to wave Goodbye to me after the train door closed and departing*

Simply amazing! I for once, was rooted on the ground, perplexed.

Till today, I still have no idea who the hell he is.

*After much thought*
I've came to a conclusion that he may well be one of my customers whom I have served before in Brewerkz. That's the only possibility I can come up with. And only people who works and patronises Brewerkz know me as Lucien.

Angels and Demons

boring new year....

this year's lunar new year have got to be the worse new year i've ever experienced. well, at least for the first day. i bet today which is the second day of the new year will be any different. just that i'm looking forward to my dad's anniversary dinner over at Vienna.

new year just losing it's touch and charm as the years go by. every year we increase with age but the festive mood seems to be the direct opposite.

recently, i read 'star blog' on stomp (i don't know how i got there, but i just got there..)and one of the paragraph that the blogger wrote was actually how i feel.

'And then you sit around and answer the same questions year after year while you're force-fed the same new year goodies, house after house.'
Sheylara - Star Blogger for Stomp

how true can it get? after a few house visiting (which was bare minimal and makes me feel like staying at home), we stayed throughout over at my grandma's house. the adults were busy mahjong'ing'. with no mahjong, 2 younger cousins occupying the computers with DOTA, 2 half grown adults playing with Wii, it's as boring as it can get. for your information, i'm not one of the half grown adults who played with Wii.
i was simply bored to death. i was actually staring into blank space, napping for a moment and staring at the television from 11pm to 4am in the morning. i can't believe i did that amazing feat, but i did.

for the first week of new year, i'll be packed with activities. so i'm busy busy all the way till this sunday.

New Gear in town room!!

i've got to owe this to Jerry. and i have my hats off to really 'tahan' my fucked up attitude. he knows what i mean.. HAHA!!

been eyeing and looking for this amplifier since i put my Peavey 5150 on sale.

there's actually quite a story behind this amplifier. funny i must say.

well, after i put up my Peavey 5150 combo on sale, i went around ebay, forums hunting for people selling this amplifier. after a couple of months of looking around and searching, i know the chances are slim. it's quite a rarity to come by.

so there i was sitted down on my chair for my FYP. i was looking around SOFT Amp-Buy Sell thread, and i can't believe my eyes. This amplifier is ON SALE! so i'm like recking my brains to get the money first and how i'm going to get it before anyone does.
after a couple of hours of recking my brains, i know i want to get this amplifier SO BAD but i'm not financially capable. so i turned to the second person who's kind of eyeing on this amp too. Jerry.

here's how the conversation goes.

'Eh, Jerry, you know the Yamaha amp in GC? it's on sale leh'
'Hmm...'
'it's selling for $600 leh, damn tempted lo, you never see the thread?'
'Hmm...'
'eh, i feel like buying it leh'
*sinister laughter*
'what?!'
'you want to buy ah? i bought it already lo. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!'

that's how Jerry got the amp. How the amp got to my house? I don't know!!! haha, all i know is, i used all the strength and might to LUG that amplifier which is an approximate 18KG from his house to my house.
the reward's amazing...

new lease of bored

people have been wondering why i always show up in school due to the fact that i'm 'officially' out of school.

guess what? less than a week into my holidays, i'm already bored at home. this few days have been helping friends with their projects and such. i'm busy not with my own stuff but with their stuff. i'm not complaining anything, i'm just TELLING YOU. quite honestly, i kind of enjoy helping them. gives me a feel of supremacy. if you know what i mean. kills boredom in the process too.

well, i'll start to complain now. not only i'm bored after a week, to add to the agony, i'll be having holidays till 9th of March. that's a VERY long holiday that i didn't expect it to appear in my schedule. i was hoping it's going to a fast affair thing but school just have it's way of screwing this up.where am i going to find a job that will only be required for a month or maybe less? be a male maid for my comm skill teacher as proposed by my comm skill teacher Mrs Ng and eileen? i doubt that's going to happen.

BAH, in time to come, i'll see what i can do..

on tuesday, we had our FYP batch gathering at...

been to this place once with my class. the food's rather limited and well, just average to me. the last time i went, i had mushroom tempura and eel rice. this time, with no exception, i too had eel rice but ordered mushroom beef burger.yiling will nag and kill me if she knows what i ate.
it was a long catch up session with food and drinks. speaking of drinks.

you know back in the days when you are still in primary school, probably upper primary. there's this craze for this drink that you need to pop the glass ball stuck at the 'entrance' of the drink in order to drink from it.

looks something like this

this things are called 'RAMUNE'

Ramune

well, of course i knew this drink existed when i was in primary school. BUT to my surprise, there are people that actually are oblivious to its existence. i shall not mention who....

anxiously and carefully popping the drink.......

still intrigued by its existence...

after all the food and everything, because the most part of us are made up of girls.. you know what girls do best. you don't need an Einstein brain to realise that...

cam whore... once they start, they cannot stop. i was actually dragged into a couple of them but i looked like crap in those pictures. i choose not to post them up...

what's a gathering without group pictures right?

Meet my 3 fun loving, forever full of expression and very unpredictable DTs.

Kaiyi, Jazsica, HuiQin

Especially Kaiyi, her way of expressing herself is just... abnormal. not a norm compared to those OL who works 9 - 5 everyday. check this out.

Kaiyi's FAIL attempt to imitate the 'enigma' figure that we saw in the restaurant.

Kaiyi..... FAIL!

After filling ourselves silly, we all headed home after a rather redundant discussion of where to go. Everyone's like cursing and swearing at me cause i'm the only one who doesn't need to work or study the next day. *whistles non-chalantly*

i'm going to hit the sack, probably do up something tomorrow. *yawns*

end of agony

just 2 days of slacking after the end of FYP, i'm bored already. the holiday doesn't come as a blessing to me but to my friends, they YEARN for a holiday right now. they've been complaining about the stress, depression and whatnot from their projects. they are just merely exaggerating.

well, the good news is, i can safely say that i won't need to study anymore. for me, that's a MAJOR good news. since 4, i've been studying. not exactly among the best but just an average student you see running here and there. 21 - 4 = 17. 17 years of studying. how can one not get sick of studying after 17years?

my mum's still in the midst of persuading me to go to university. what i can say is, she's not so much of a persuader (if this word even exist?) i don't even dare to dream of going to university, i don't have the luxury to do that just yet. to top that up, i'm really sick of studying.

'you'll eat your words alive after you start your life in the working society'

alot of people have been telling me this but guess what? i've worked, i've studied and i must say, i enjoy working life better than a normal student life. enough said.

i've been busy for the past week to update my blog mainly because it's my last week of FYP. i'm pissed at a couple of stuff but at the same time, i'm glad everything's over. elated > upset. i don't expect to get good grades for my FYP. a pass will do. seriously.

helped my fellow DTs for NYP's open house. fun, laughter and joy.
you can check 'em out.

to end off, a picture to mark the end of my study life.

'new' room

as posted yesterday, i'm going to post up pictures of my 'new' room. some shifting here and there.. more spacious and cosier than the previous arrangement i had. AIYA, hard work la, hard work.

entrance

the inside of my room

guitar side of the room

the bed side of the room

the computer side of the room

the following 2 corners of my room is still alittle messy. i'm thinking of solutions to either store them away or keeping them neat. i'm visiting IKEA very soon for some ideas.

messy computer table (where i'm working on NOW)

messy mini table

jerry, NOW this is what i call spacious. not YOUR type of spacious. i can fit in a mahjong table and still have spare spaces for spectators roaming around!

now this is the comparison of the 2 colours. my room's painted latte brown and the other rooms including the living room is painted pink. the kitchen remained the same though.

in case you can't really see the pink

HENG i opt for latte brown. i'll go crazy if my room's pink.

HOHO!

Welcome to the TOILET section! now for today, we are going see how lousy men can aim with their weener!

this guy's weener sure knows how to 'WIGGLE' around! look at the bottom right corner! oh man, urine stains!

a close up for you guys! HAHAHAHA!!!!

i should really stop taking pictures of toilet bowls and really get down to serious business like doing up my final presentation slides for my FYP (final year project)

saw it on facebook. it's by the girl name sharon. and i also heard, it will be a big whole in her pocket cause everything's charged USD and USD500 for a palm sized design by chris. simply amazing.

what you see is what i've GOT cause this room had a little make over.

i'll post the pictures of my 'new' room tomorrow. with a comparison of that pink wall that i have for my other room. -.-

just yesterday, after going out with ellas for C&C and dao huey at Rochor. i walked back home alone, AGAIN.

half way through, i started to feel pain on the joint of my right toe. i'm like what the fuck is wrong? i didn't kick any prostitute, i didn't kick any indians (although i feel like), i didn't kick anything that will inflict any damage to my toe.
couldn't care less, i hit straight to bed after bathing.
this morning i woke up, the first step i took. FUCK!!! it's pain and it's having a slight swell. i'm like 'SHIT, do i go to the western doctors? or should i go to the chinese physician. (you know? TIE DA)' my dad adviced me to go to western doctor for medical treatment. he suspect i fractured my toe, which i hope i am.

went to seek medical treatment, turned out, it's a case of gout.
WTF is a GOUT?
'go home, check it online' says the doctor with his hands mimicking the actions of typing on a keyboard. so here i am..

Gout (metabolic arthritis) is a disease created by a buildup of uric acid. In this condition, crystals of monosodium urate or uric acid are deposited on the articular cartilage of joints, tendons and surrounding tissues. These crystals cause inflammation and pain, both severe. If untreated, the crystals form tophi, which can cause significant tissue damage. Gout results from a combination of elevated concentrations of uric acid and overall acidity in the bloodstream. In isolation, neither elevated uric acid (hyperuricemia) nor acidity is normally sufficient to cause gout.

The cause?

The high levels of uric acid in the blood are caused by protein rich foods. Alcohol intake often causes acute attacks of gout and hereditary factors may contribute to the elevation of uric acid, e.g. inborn errors of purine-pyrimidine metabolism. Typically, persons with gout are obese, predisposed to diabetes and hypertension, and at higher risk of heart disease. Gout is more common in affluent societies due to a diet rich in proteins, fat, and alcohol. It is not rare, however, to find gout among the poorer classes, who drink large quantities of malt liquors, and whose food is insufficient in quantity and quality. This is known as "poor man's" gout. The consumption of a large quantity of malt liquors by either rich or poor is a contributing cause.

When it follows as a consequence of other health conditions such as renal failure, it is often regardless of the person's lifestyle. Some studies have established a statistical connection between gout and lead poisoning, and a significant correlation between levels of lead in the body and urate excretion and gout. It is known that lead sugar was used to sweeten wine, and that chronic lead poisoning is a cause of gout, and condition is then known as saturnine gout, because of its association with lead (Saturnus was the alchemists' term for the metal lead).

Laymen term : too much beans (of any kind) and alcohol intake.

i've been eating alot of beancurd cause school's beancurd is DIRT cheap and it's smooth, nice and sweet. WHERE CAN YOU FIND 50cent beancurd?
