moving on

With the days going by as well as the Horoscope. This time's for the month of Aries.

I extend birthday wishes to the following peeps.
13th March - Mr Zai Nan, Khor Ying Zheng
23rd March - Miss Jazsica Law
27th March - Miss Shiau Hui

Although my birthday wasn't exactly as happening as Jazsica's Birthday.
I'm blessed with friends and family. I don't have any present though (although I bought a watch and a guitar for myself) and I don't think I need them cause I have the greatest bunch friends anyone could ever have.
Minutes before the stroke of midnight to 20mins past midnight, I consider myself the happiest and the most blessed person on earth. Thank you..

Well, as you guys know, I'm pretty reclusive about when exactly my birthday is. I don't go around, 'Hey, my birthday is XX/XX/XXXX. You should know what to do.' *Hint hint*
Well, I know not all of you guys think this way but It's just me and my principles of life. That's if you keep up with what I'm blogging.

I do extend my appreciation and gratitude to friends who remembered my birthday. Mainly my Secondary School friends. That's when I'm still young and naive. I pretty proud to say that I've grown up alot. (In terms of size and maturity) But at the same time, I don't think I'm quite up there yet. Sometimes, I still think I'm the biggest asshole (Jerry and zr would agree 100%) and the biggest baby you can ever find.

Thank you to the following people.
Imelda, Ci En, Robin, Cecilia, zr, Jerry, Shiau Hui, CaiYun, Yenny, Weiting, Jazsica, Yi Qin, Jiji and Li Xian.
And to my clique BFFs.
And to Si Karc (Eileen, Natalie, Ann and Qianyu) who have been trying to know my birthday.

Just the other day, had a little gathering with MIT0614. Not all are present. Just a handful. But it's good enough though. Went to Chomp Chomp. Seriously, that place is so out of the way. I had quite a difficult time getting there. Though it's not the first time I went there, it's the first time I go there from airport. I'm glad I'm not the last one to reach.

Thanks guys, although it's there's not alot of us there. But certainly, I had a great time. And I'm sure you guys did. From the look of your faeces faces.

After work, Jerry and zr popped by airport to celebrate on the actual day.

Reply to zr : I'll give thoughts about what you said. I'll try to be more rationale in time to come. I still haven't pass puberty yet! HAHA! And I'm seriously not discouraging! Everyone knows I don't celebrate birthday for nuts. -.- but anyhow, thank you!
And thank you to Jerry. Just in case he gets jealous!

Had Popeyes for dinner. It doesn't matter if it's just a fastfood joint. It's the thought that counts. I'm a simple person.
Things took quite a turn though. I think it pissed off Jerry quite badly.

Just to add to the occasion, a VERY VERY long due picture from Natalie's birthday last year.

That's pretty much about it.

Just the other day, I went back to school to disturb the DTs. And I sort of spied on what Internet Browser the DTs are using. Then I stumble upon this browser called OPERA. The other day, Robin's bitching about how pissed off he is with Internet Explorer (aka IE) and he's going to make a switch to OPERA. The second time I heard about this browser.

I think everyone kind of knows that I'm using Mozilla Firefox as my browser for my laptop. Which was good, fast and customizable. I never had much problems and complains about Mozilla Firefox. But since my laptop crashed. I'm using the desktop now.

I didn't give much thought as to how slow IE was cause in actual fact, I pretty much didn't give a rat's ass about it. I try to make do with what I have until IE took away the last bit of lethargy in me.
Yesterday, I can't log in to facebook due to some '500 : Internal server error'. I can't surf the normal blogs. I told myself, 'That's it. I'm switching browser!'

NO MORE IE! TO HELL WITH YOU!

And so currently, I'm using OPERA as my browser. I'm kind of amazed by how fast and lag free it is considering that my desktop isn't really THAT fast you know. Still at the pentium 4, 256 ram stage. Thinking of upgrading it but I think that will have to wait.

I'm thinking of changing my blog's link. http://jinxed-one.blogspot.com definitely have established itself but I think I have disabled quite a few features that Blogger offered for better organisation of the blog. I think in time to come.

I'm going to collect my MT37 today. Very excited about it. Hope everything goes smoothly for me today!

Here I come!

conform?

People have been asking me how's my attachment? How's is it? Fun or not? I think this post will answer most of your questions.

Changi Airport Terminal 3 is where I report to work everyday. Well, the job scope that I'm doing now really doesn't have anything got to do with my course 'Multimedia & Infocomm Technology' (aka MIT). It's more to the engineering and automation side which will benefit my fellow attachee well. Most of the time, I've no clue what the hell they are talking about.

Transformers, power packs, UPS, VAVs, AHUs and FCSs. I seriously have to catch up with all the acronyms but I didn't really bother. Doesn't benefit me in anyway though. But the only thing is, I'm glad I'm supporting them on the software side. Which is kind of slack.

They will have to go on site if something happens, they will walkie back to me to check the readings on the system, which I'm responsible. Screw ups is not an option to these guys.

Welcome to Fault Management Centre (better known as FMC).

Well, I'm not exactly working for FMC. There's another room inside that I work in. That's I won't go into much details as I have said in the previous post.

For every highlighted item, that's 1 panel. Inside the panel, there's still the equipments like the routers and power distribution. We are supposed to clear the defects for all the equipments and at the same time do maintenance for the equipments.

But for people like me who don't know a thing about all these, I'm better off sitting and staring at the system waiting for problems like power failure, temperature alarm and offline status of the equipments.

Like what Jerry and I always say. You think everyday is a Sunday? You think everyday something will malfunction? Not everyday. In the days that we have absolutely nothing to do.

A game of Solitaire might just be the remedy to kill your boredom. Okay, maybe the word 'a game' doesn't fit in to the picture. I've completed the game at least 300 times. My fellow attachee and I are expert at it.

And when you are lucky, on a not so busy day, your supervisor might give you a short break of 10mins to let you freshen up. How do I freshen up? Internet. Bear in mind that the computers I handle everyday do not have internet access. So, the only place to go? Crystal Jade My Bread have FREE internet access.

FREE INTERNET ACCESS (gets really pixelated, oh well, don't care!)

And when we are busy, it's really stressful. The engineers wants to get their job done in time. So if you don't understand them through the walkie (which are mostly distorted and muffled) and you request them to repeat themselves. They might just lose their patience and throw tantrum at you.

I'm glad that the engineers I've met are so far so good.

After the job's done, we have to help them fill in a form for hard copy recording purposes and do a printscreen for them for software recording purposes. With all the number of equipments, I've already filled in 90 over forms and there are still, 300 over more equipments to record. Most of the jobs are already done so I can just refer to the system and record the readings.

Yup. That's basically what I do and handle everyday. There you have it.

I think zr wants me to update. But not on this matter. Hmm.. At a later date girl!

Tell me this is absurd.

A brief write up first.

My attachment ends at 30th May 2009. Our school graduation ceremoney is on 27th May 2009. I've enquired my Liaison Officer (LO) about it, she say remind her 2 weeks before the end of attachment so she can tend to this matter.
But a couple days back, I still think there's something fishy about it. So I called up one of my lecturers to enquire. I was taken aback by what he says.

'You may not graduate with your batch of students. Maybe graduate next year. Your attachment program haven't complete so it's not considered end of course.'

I was totally totally in awe and agony. What the hell is the school thinking? They set the date on purpose just to cause unneccessary distress alarm in us student? Yeah, we might have failed a module, but we did what we could do to pass every module every single remaining semester. And now this is what we get? Come on, it's just 3 days difference.

'Your LO might not be of any help. Seek immediate attention from Course Manager would be a wiser move.'

He's so hard to catch. I really hope my DTs can help me on this matter. Thanks to Jazsica for your help emailing the Course Manager. And thanks in advance to Kaiyi and Huiqin. Help me catch that guy! I know you are reading this.. THANK YOU LADIES, IN ADVANCE!

delayed

Updates tomorrow. With pictures I hope? Let's see if my memory will serve me well..

Left 2 dead?

I really think that my desktop hates me. I've been trying to switch it on for the whole morning and afternoon, it doesn't budge. It just kept giving me the deadly beeping reply. But when my eldest brother return home in the evening, the computer came to life.

So, the entire afternoon was spent watching "The Terminal" which was a superb show.

I've watched it like 4 times now. I have a vague memory that I watched Forrest Gump but I've no idea how's the movie. I think I will go buy it's vcd. Both shows' lead male actor is Tom Hanks who's also going to be featured too as the lead male actor for "Angels and Demons" which is going to hit the big screen soon.

So, as not to make the desktop laze again, I called my brother not to switch it off so I can use it to do a quick (well, it's not that quick) update.

Just the other day, my dad asked me if I still have the key to my personal drawer.

The key to that drawer was given to me when I was in primary school to store all the important documents. Well, being in primary school, how much do I know about responsibility? All I know was having fun. The drawer was for me to store my toys. And soon, I lost the key to the drawer. I didn't notify my parents even until the day before yesterday, I didn't tell my dad I lost the key. To be honest, I didn't have the balls to do it.
I think my dad kind of read my mind, so he just passed me a new key to the drawer. Along with my new passport and a couple of forms that will allow entry to our neighbouring country, Malaysia.

A little background as of why my dad gave us each a drawer.
When my dad was still a kid, my dad never had a drawer to store his stuff. You know, in the oldern days, coming from a just well to do family and with 5 other siblings, you can't expect much. So when my dad have childrens, which are my brothers and I. He made it a point to custom make a cupboard with drawers at the bottom for us to store our stuff.
My dad is not very good with words, but I know he loves us.

Anyway, since I can't seems to get the computer working, I cleared out the stuff (which is in there for YEARS with a capital Y) in there to store my important documents that I have.
Nostalgia nostalgia!

The long forgotten drawer, until recently

Look at the amount of dust collected on the handle over the years!

Open sesame!

Tadah! Old school you know!

It's damn old school! My Gundam models and my Tamiya cars!

My favourite Gundam with Gundam Wing.

I have no idea where did the model go to now. I think it's either chucked in a dark corner of my wardrobe, or I have already thrown it away.

My first Tamiya and My most expensive Tamiya.

The red one looks kind of screwed. But the black one still looks decent.

I still remember we would spend all the time modding the tyres, upgrading the engine, adding spoilers and such. My black Boomerang was one of the best models around at that time. But it didn't have an official race with any other cars. My red one was too heavily modded that it's too damn heavy, so I would always lose in a race.

I didn't spend time trying to see if the cars are still in working condition or not. I just took pictures and then threw them away. Along with the Gundam box. But anyhow, it's damn nostalgic!

Some other miscellaneous stuff in there, Gameboy cartridges (The Gameboy got over heated and the batteries in there melt like a crazy motherfucker which made my gameboy light spoil), random Tamiya parts and a special edition Kyo badge from King of Fighters.
Damn old school. I used to buy the comics very often and keep reading them over and over again. This badge was actually a free gift from a special edition publishing of the comic. Something got to do with like Kyo fighting with Iori or something.

Just a slight update for my good friend Jazsica.

I just realised I missed the registration date for practical examination. Even though I'm still thinking whether to take guitar practical or not. Sure now I have plenty of time, until next year to decide! Anyhow, I'm still reading my music theory book. I want to immediately take Grade 3 and higher. Save time!

As for my IAP (attachment), it's damn bored. I can't read, I can't play games, I can't sleep. The only thing I can do is stare into blank space and wait for something to come up in the system. To those who are still oblivious to where I'm attached to, I'm currently attached to T3, working under CNA. Refer to the post further down the page.
I wish I could tell you more, but I can't. By telling you guys too much about what I do, will breach National Security. I wouldn't want to compromise the safety of Singapore for anything.

If you really want to know more, I'm seeing pretty girls everyday at work.

So much for a quick update.

Fuck la..

Yesterday night, I told Jazsicathat I will update my blog. There, here's your entry. Damn dulan cause this morning I switch on my computer, the BIOS just kept beeping. I don't know what's wrong and now I'm blogging with my phone. Even my PSP refuse to accept the connection from my router. Good thing is today I decided to bring my laptop for repair. Bad thing is my desktop crash. I CAN'T USE FACEBOOK! FUCK!

Jazsica : I'll try to get everything up and running and update. Sorry! In the meanwhile, you cheer up okay? :) Just to tell you, I'm doing fine for my IAP. As for music theory, I'll have a full update once everything's back to normal for me. Sorry!

cheap labour!

I'm starting to pick up from wherever I left off. It seems like the period unlucky encounters are starting to deplete.

Went back to school to collect my attachment notification. Was attached to this company called 'CNA group Ltd'. My remuneration is a tad higher than some of them. A good start I suppose?

And NO, I'm not attached to Channel Newsasia.

While I was back in my lab, My DTs and I had a little conversation about our unlucky encounters and they are putting ALL the blame to me.

HuiQin : 'Si Gin Na! You and your suey mouth, say rabbit this year very unlucky. Then I nearly fall down and sprain my leg. I VERY VERY seldom got this kind of encounter one lo.'
Me : 'Wah lao, my fault again..'
Jazsica; HuiQin : 'Yeah la!'
Me : * -.-
Jazsica : 'I think the period of sueyness occurs a couple of months before your birthday. Then when your birthday is around the corner, the sueyness will be gone. Eng Hua and my birthday coming le, so no more sueyness liao. Your (HuiQin) birthday coming soon ma, so you start to suey lo.'
HuiQin : 'Si Gin Na! You and your suey mouth..'
Me : 'Me again! * -.- '

Well, fingers crossed.. I hope what Jazsica says is true.

Things are starting to turn bright for a change!

A couple of days back, met up with Si Karc (hokkien for 40cents, * I don't know why anyone would want to associate themselves with coins, but oh well, whatever makes them happy * ) for mahjong session.

Natalie and Qianyu got pulled by some sales girl to buy cosmetic and the sales girl sure is taking her time to do her explanation. So the rest of us went hunting for my watch. After weeks of hunting around East side of Singapore, my watch can be found at the West side of Singapore.

French Connection United Kingdom (FCUK) FB1035B

I saw the range of FCUK watches but they didn't have my model. No harm asking, I went into the shop and enquired. They show me FCUK's watch catalogue and sure enough, they have! So I placed my order immediately.
Just yesterday, they called me and say that my watch arrived and ready for collection anytime. WOW, talk about efficiency, service and credibility. EXCELLENT! I'm going to collect my watch today! Very thrilled.

Good thing : I found my watch.
Bad thing : I have to travel ALL they way to Jurong Point to collect it. Oh wells...

I know I'm alittle late (or old if you want to put it THAT way) but, I'm going to start taking music theory. I didn't know you can skip grade until Jazsica and Ci En told me. That what I'm going to do! Since they opened up this option to us.

Still contemplating on whether to take up practical for guitar though. Jerry would say I would be wasting my time and money. I can foresee that....

P.S.: After so much, my PSP is finally back and serving me VERY WELL
